Rx-4 Frequently Asked Questions

The Rx-4 Tablet & Capsule Counter uses a rotating turntable to feed tablets and capsules through an optical sensing array for fast, accurate, hands-free counting.

The Rx-4 has a listed accuracy of 99.97% and is designed to simply not miscount when used as described in the included Operator’s Manual.

The Rx-4 features three counting modes; Single vial filling, Multiple vial filling, and Inventory counting.

These modes support prescription filling, pre-packing, and inventory management tasks.

The Rx-4 will count round, aspirin-size tablets at a rate of approximately 500 per minute, and will count large capsules at approximately 350 per minute.  Even at its slowest speed, The Rx-4 is still faster and more accurate than hand-counting.

The Rx-4 is compatible with tablets, capsules, and soft-gels ranging from 3mm up to 1/2 inch (13mm) in diameter and 1 inch (26mm) in length. For larger tablets, the optional Large Pill Sensor Cover allows the Rx-4 to count tablets up to 3/4 inch (19mm) in diameter.

Semi-rounded, symmetrically shaped items like oblong beads and hex nuts may work well. Asymmetrical items with sharp corners, odd shapes, screws, flat-backed crystals, and spherical items do not behave properly on the turntable. Contact Rx Count if you would like to send samples for testing.

The approximate capacity of the Rx-4 turntable disc surface is 300 tablets or capsules, depending on size. The open design also allows users to continuously add product while counting and dispensing.

Every Rx-4 comes with a 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee. If the Rx-4 does not satisfy your needs within the first 30 days from the date of delivery, simply return it for a full refund.
